Welcome to Stanegate Cottage, our beautifully presented two-bedroom holiday cottage near Hadrian's Wall. A perfect place for exploring Hadrian's Wall and Northumberland.
We are situated on a hill above the village of Greenhead, with fine uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside, and just minutes away from Hadrian's Wall.
The cottage has been imaginatively converted from the original byre, part of the 250 year old Bank Top farm. It is furnished and decorated to a high standard, with natural wood floors and pine furniture, providing quality accommodation for a maximum of 4 people throughout the year.
The self-catering cottage is at the gateway of the central and best preserved section of the Roman Wall. Should you wish to find out more about Roman life on the Wall, the Roman Army Museum is the local site only 5 minutes away.
Enjoy rural Northumberland, England's bestkept secret. The Northumberland National Park starts just a few miles to the north of us, and continues up to the Cheviot range of hills and the Scottish Border.
